Johannes Rudolph and Unkown Wife

Johannes Rudolph was born in Germany. His parents are unkown at this time. He married, but at this time is wife is unknown. Johannes Rudolph is estimated to have between 1819 and 1832  most likely in Pennsylvania. 

Johannes Rudolph is first found in the land records of WestmorelandCounty Pennsylvania in 1774 when 100 acres was surveyed in his name. AJohannes Rudolph signed a deposition for Jacob Rudolph in 1819. In1832 when Jacob filed for his Revolutionary War service he stated thatJohn Rudolph had since died. Since Jacob's brother John did not dieuntil 1848, it is most likely that the John Rudolph in the 1744 landrecords, and the John Rudolph who signed the 1819 deposition was thefather of John and Jacob.

JOHN GEORGE RUDOLPH-2 (Johannes Rudolph-1). He was born Abt. 1760 in Germany. Tax roll 1786 in West Hempfield, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania [2]. Census 1790 1790 in Franklin Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He died Abt. 1848 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Reference ID was 2707.

CHRISTINE MEYERS is the daughter of Balthazar Meyers & Mrs. Christine Meyers. She died Bef. Apr 1832 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania [2]. Reference ID was 2708.

JOHN GEORGE RUDOLPH & CHRISTINE MEYERS were married Abt. 1786. They had 10 children.

  • ISAAC RUDOLPH. He died Bef. 1848. Reference ID was 2914.
  • ANNA MARIA RUDOLPH. She was born on 24 Dec 1786 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania [2]. Baptism Abt. 1787 [2]. She married Henry Brewer. They were married Abt. 1805. She died Aft. 1860 in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania [2]. Reference ID was 2899.
    • ANNA MARIA RUDOLPH-3 (John George Rudolph-2, Johannes Rudolph-1). She was born on 24 Dec 1786 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania [2]. Baptism Abt. 1787 [2]. She died Aft. 1860 in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania [2]. Reference ID was 2899.

      Anna Maria Rudolh and Henry Brewer had 10 children according to the1830 Census. 6 males and 4 females listed under the age of 20. OnlyJacob Brewer has been identified.

      HENRY BREWER. He was born 1785 in Pennsylvnia [2]. He died Aft. 1860 in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania [2]. Reference ID was 2900.
      Notes for Henry Brewer:General Notes: He may be the Heinrich Braur born to Heinrich and Anna Maria Braur on1 Sep 1787 and baptized Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania by Rev.Lutge on 10 Oct 1788.

  • JACOB RUDOLPH [2]. He was born Abt. 1788 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania [2]. Military Service on 12 Jan 1814 in Pennsylvania [2]. He married Elizabeth Varner. They were married on 16 Mar 1816 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Resided 1833 in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. He died Abt. 1843 in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania [2]. Will on 07 Jul 1843 in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania [2]. Reference ID was 2700.
    • Notes for Jacob Rudolph:General Notes: Listed on the roll of a company of militia commanded by Capt. David Boyle of the 138th Regiment commanded by Lt. Col. Robert Miller, under Major General Mead from 12 Jan to 22 Feb 1814. His pay was $15.40. David Boyle of the 138th Regiment commanded by Lt. Col. Robert Miller, under Major General Mead from Jan. 12 to Feb. 22, 1814. His pay was  was $15.40.  He was paid $9.90 for service from Feb. 23 to Mar. 21, 1814.    The exact date of Jacob's death is unknown, but the Letters of Administration on his estate were filed July 7, 1843 in Jefferson County, PA.  His son Abraham was appointed Executor of his estate. In September 1844 Abraham Rudolph petitioned the Court for permission to sell Jacob's land in Young Township for payment of his debts.  This land is described as "170 and 3/4 acres in Lot of Tract 65 of Holland Lands with about 40 acres cleared with a house and barns".  Permission was subsequently granted to sell 1/2 the lot, to exclude the house. MN; md. aft. 1850 to Hannah ARB (d/o Catharine).4-Henry RUDOLPH, b. 19 Mar 1822; d. 11 Jan 1831.5-Isaac RUDOLPH b. 7 Aug 1824; d. 18 July 1889; md. abt 1844 to Elizabeth.6-David RUDOLPH b. 8 Sept 1826; d. of cancer 20 Aug 1896; md. 20 Aug 1849 to Anna Maria SMITH (abt 1832, d/o Peter Smith).  He served from 7 Sept 1864 untill 21 Jun 1865 in Co. H, 15th Reg. PA Volunteer Cavalry.  David was suffering from rheumatistm, enlarged heart, chronic diarrhea, and cancer on the neck when he applied for his pension on Oct 25, 1895.  He stated that he first noticed the symptoms on a raid from Huntsville into Mississippi.  He is described as 5' 5", weight 152 on June 13, 1888, and weight 135 on Aug. 27, 1890.  7-Daniel RUDOLPH, b. 18 Jan 1829; d. abt 1849.8-Christina RUDOLPH, b. 24 May 1831; d. 1917; md. William John TAWNEY (1827-1877, s/o Adam Tawney & Ann Elizabeth Rudolph).   In April 1858  John and Christine were living 'on the point between Beaver Run and the Kiskeimentes River" in Westmoreland County.9-Levi RUDOLPH, b. 26 May 1834 in Westmoreland Co.; d. 6 Jan 1883 in Wright Co. MN; md 6 Apr 1862 in Jefferson Co. PA to Susanna SYPHRIT (Dec 1839-1917, Jefferson Co., d/o Joseph Syphrit & Mary Campbell). 
    • ELIZABETH VARNER is the daughter of Abraham Varner [2]. She was born Abt. 1790. She died on 01 May 1856 in Young Township, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania [3]. Burial on 03 May 1856 in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania [4, 5]. Reference ID was 2706.

      Notes for Elizabeth Varner:General Notes: 5/1/1856 I at Jno RUDOLPHs today and night five times to see my Mothershe is very low all day and she died tonight about twelve oclock fromfrom the effects of the cancer on her left breast.

      • HENRY RUDOLPH. He was born on 19 Mar 1822 in Pennsylvania [2]. He died on 11 Jan 1831. Reference ID was 2919.
      • LEVI RUDOLPH. He was born on 26 May 1824 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He married Susanna Syphrit. They were married on 06 Apr 1862 in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. He died on 06 Jan 1883 in Wright County, Minnesota. Reference ID was 2928.
